Every year, there is a specific date on the calendar that says "OK, it's officially fall." This year that date was September 22nd. Whether the temperature agrees with this definitive date is questionable, but there is one unmistakable feature of fall that cannot be missed - beautiful changing leaves. A sad reminder that the dark winter is coming, but a gorgeous display of beauty that can't help but make your heart smile. Well, mine anyway.
I thought I would just include a number of pictures, as they speak for themselves.
“Fall has always been my favorite season. The time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale.”
Lauren DeStefano, Wither
"The trees are about to show us how lovely it is to let dead things go."
“Love the trees until their leaves fall off, then encourage them to try again next year.”
"Autumn. The year's last, loveliest, smile."
