If you’re thinking about a vacation getaway in lieu of turkey and mashed potatoes, we may have a few ideas for you! Check out our blog from earlier this week for some traveling tips!
Still in the theme of Thanksgiving, you can experience the Macy’s Day Parade first hand. Take a trip back to your childhood with floats of all your favorite characters! After the parade, take a walk around Central Park. Plenty of restaurants are open in New York for Thanksgiving, whether you want a traditional turkey dinner or asian noodles. Spend the evening at the theater or a museum.
As a well known adult-loving retreat, this is definitely a place to visit if you’re not interested in the typical tryptophan coma. Fine true R&R at a Poconos hotel! Enjoy the crisp falls air with a hike in the mountains, followed by a meal of your choice.
Our Mexican neighbors have resorts that make you want to skip pumpkin pie and put on a bikini. Spend the day soaking in the sun at the beach, then enjoy a pina colada and fresh fish for dinner.
If you’re looking for some beaches, but want to stay domestic, try Florida. In the Florida Keys, you can truly experience the slow island life without needing a passport. Crystal blue waters, amazing sunsets, and wildlife make for a memorable Thanksgiving trip.
Direct flights are available from the east coast. So in under 8 hours, you could be enjoying the beautiful city of Barcelona. Temperatures are mild around Thanksgiving, giving you plenty of opportunity to experience the culture and food in this Spanish city.
Whatever you decide to do, we hope you enjoy your holiday.
