There is a reason St. Lucia continues to be one of the highest-ranked honeymoon destinations around the world. From stunning views of jaw-dropping scenery to exotic hideaways, St. Lucia has much to offer honeymooners. Whether you are traveling on a budget or are looking for luxury accommodations, there is something for everyone on St. Lucia, including romance and adventure.
St. Lucia is located in the Caribbean’s windward islands, outside of the hurricane belt, and receives near constant northeast trade winds. The year-round climate is mild, with an average temperature of 79 degrees, so it’s a wonderful destination any time of year. Because of its popularity with honeymooners, there are many all-inclusive resorts and honeymoon packages on offer, so couples will find many options for the perfect romantic getaway.
The twin peaks of the Les Pitons provide opportunities for hiking, rain forest adventures, and swimming in beautiful waterfalls. A guide can help you navigate the restricted region to allow you to walk through the dense foliage, look for native wildlife, and explore the jungle. A hike to the top of Gros Piton will leave you invigorated (if a little out of breath), but the views are absolutely worth the effort. You can even walk to the edge of the Sulfur Springs volcano to witness the steaming plumes of sulfur emitted by this still-active volcano. St. Lucia has gorgeous waterfalls, romantic gardens, and relaxing mineral pools ready and waiting for your next adventure.
Explore the underwater world around St. Lucia with your snorkel and fins. There are many areas perfect for viewing gorgeous coral walls, which are home to amazing Caribbean marine life. Barrel sponges, angel fish, sea horses, spotted eels, stingrays, nurse sharks and sea turtles all call the area home. Whether you enjoy paddling in the surf or plunging into the deep blue, the warm and inviting waters of St. Lucia never disappoint.
There are miles of white sandy beaches scattered all over St. Lucia, so finding a quiet one for a romantic rendezvous shouldn’t be too difficult. Walk hand in hand down the beach to witness some of the most glorious sunsets you’ll ever see. Better yet, take a half- or full-day sail with a local catamaran service to view the island’s beauty from the water. When you’ve had enough sun and sand, head to the northern point of the island, Gros Islet, any Friday night for dancing to local, Caribbean music.
St. Lucia is perfect for honeymooners of all types. Whether you are looking for an energetic vacation or lots of relaxation and time alone, you will have plenty of choices here. With beautiful weather, gorgeous scenery, a relaxed atmosphere, and lots of Caribbean flare, you’ll have no problem planning the honeymoon of your dreams.
